Hi, unfortunately there is no real preventative measures. I have a screen here less than a year old with similar problems and an antique laptop, old IBM with windows 3.1 on it, maybe 20 years old and the screen is perfect, most times the screen will out last the computer but every so often a faulty one arrises.
Good luck mistyman

May be more socks stuck again. Best thing to do is check the filter once a week if it's on the outside of the machine. The ones that are not easily accessed usually don't get touched till a problem arises so to stop small items disappearing and ending up in the filters get a small net bag that has a good form of closing it to put the small items in and then stick the bag in the wash.

I was playing fate and the screen wentblack and when i tried to restart it told me it was already running and to switch or close

Since you didn't mention the Operating System installed on your computer, I will assume you are running Microsoft Windows. First let's terminate the running program, after that I'll explain and will give some tips on how to avoid this to happen again.

Right-Click the "TaskBar", select "Task Manager" then, click "Processes" tab, again select "Show Processes from all users" and locate "Fate-wildgames.exe" or "Fate-....." something similar starting with fate, right-click the "Fate......." and select "End Process Tree", confirm the warning by clicking "yes", once it's done, check the processes lists once again and make sure no more Fate... is running. If so terminate the same by right-clicking and select "End Process Tree", but I hope there's no more...

Close the Task Manager and try opening the Fate game again, it should work fine. To avoid this, you need to update the graphics card drivers, run minimum numbers of programs during the play, etc...etc.. you'll see the improvement. Upgrading the Ram may also improve, but I can't guarantee, if in case you have had enough Ram installed on your machine. Uninstall unnecessary programs from your computer, etc..etc... and lot more..

If the problem still persists, restart your computer, and try again. I will assist you, if you need further help.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

THAT I HAVE A RIVAL 8804 iCE CREAM MAKER AND IN THE WEB SAID THAT I NEED ROCK SAL AND I NO HAVE BUT I HAVE THE MILK,ICE,VANILLA BUT I NO HAVE THE ROCK SAL AND I HAVE A QUESTION THAT IF I NO HAVE THE ROCK...

Rock salt is also used to make ice cream. It is not actually used in the ice cream mixture; rather, it is used to melt the ice surrounding the can holding the ice cream, causing the ice to melt at a lower temperature, thus lowering the temperature of the ice bath and quickening the freezing process.
