I was looking for a manual of my ADV2000. Other web site says its movement is Citizen Cal. 3531 and found the PDF document. It looks your ADV1000's arrangement of buttons are the same with mine, guess it may help;

You have to speak to your nearest DKNY distributor - they might help you and carry out necessary repairs. Alternatively visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask if they can help.

the middle dial on the right side of the watch is used to switch from watch settings to alarm settings..
pull the middle dial out to put it in alarm mode.

the alarm is now set
if the center (right) knob is pulled out the alarm is ON

I have owned this watch for about 10 years now and love it.
the past few years the chronograph buttons (on the left side of the
watch) were not working well rendering the chronograph and count down
timer functions unusable.
repairing a chronographs is expensive and watch makers usually charge
several hundred dollars which is not a feasible fee for a watch of this
value so i decided to open it up my self and clean it up and that did
the trick.. its working like new!
key for setting time can be pulled fully (to set time) or shortly (only 0.5-1 mm) for setting alarm. then you should turn it and watch how it moves (automatic, without your turning). when it comes to desired time just push key in. the watch will automatically rewind to present time and it will re-start running.
