I have a clarion axp480m. the power light is blinking blue and it will not allow sound to the speakers.

Common wiring for 2 speakers should be.

gray is Rt. +
gray with black stripe is Rt. -
white is left +
white with black stripe is left -
Black wire with crimped connector end is ground for deck. (battery -)
Red wire goes to 12 volt + source (fused) usually connected to ignition/accessories.
yellow goes to constant 12 v + for radio memory.
orange with white stripe, is for illumination. (connect to light switch)
blue is for power antennae if you have one.

the wiring diagram is out dated for the cassett player ....

here is what i know

red is ignition swichted
yellow is contstant power
black is ground
blue power antenna
blue with white strip amp turn on

gray + f right speaker
gray/black strip - f right speaker

white is + L front speaker
white with black strip is - L front speaker

green is + L rear speaker
green with black strip - L rear speaker

purple is + r rear speaker
purple with black strip - r rear speaker

your orange with white strip is illumanation not used

100% of all aftermarket radios are color code this way if you have install diagram for new radio it will be the same as old clarion radio ..

but make sure u have a digital volt meter to check power on red and yellow wire and comming from the factory harness be for you connect new radio just to make sure it does have powers and check other wire for power also just so you dont blow up new radio ... you can blow up a radio by connecting a wrong wire faster than you can blink your eyes ..... if you need a wire diagram for you modle car email me with it a http://www.tintingbyfredjohnson.com and go to contact and send email

well i think your talking about a car cd player most of them are all the same so

red is power when the key is on
yellow is Constant power
black is ground
blue is your remote wire - for amp or power ant
green and the green - black is your left rear speaker
purple and purple - black is right rear speaker
white and white - black is your left frount speaker
gray and gray - black is your right frount speaker

so on the speaker wires with the black runing down them is alway the neg and the solid color is pos

you should check the remote cable on the amp which connects to car stereo if its connected.
