Question about Whirlpool DU1010XTX Builtin Dishwasher

Model # DU1010XTXQ1, purchased in February, washer will prewash and wash for about 5-7 minutes, then cancel light comes on and washer will drain. Washer will not go throught the full cycle. Is this something we can correct without having to call out repair?

    The drain hose was fine, no kinks or clogging. We did find a solution online to reset the control board and that fixed the problem.

The issue is with drain hose that is not in correct position, please check that and post back for further assistance.

Unplug the machine for at least half an hour to eliminate the possibility of an electronic glitch. Then upon plugging in back, close the door then push CONTROL/ON (if present on this model). Select the DRAIN/SPIN cycle then select NO SPIN by pressing the SPIN SPEED button. Push PREWASH OPTION four times within five seconds. If PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA RINSE four times within five seconds. C:00 will light up on the display. If the Starting procedure fails, push the PAUSE/CANCEL button then repeat the starting procedure.

In order to advance to the next step of the test procedure, push PREWASH OPTION button two times. If PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA RINSE two times. The test program goes from C:00 to C:08 and should flash an error code when a problem is present. Post the code back for further troubleshooting, including the exact model number of the machine.

Try putting the machine into diagnostic mode. If it won't enter diagnostic mode, then you need to replace the main control board.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST

The washer must be empty and the control must be in the OFF

state before pressing the touch-pad sequence to start the test.

Starting the Test Mode

? Close the door.

? Push CONTROL/ON (if present on this model).

? Select the DRAIN/SPIN cycle.

? Select NO SPIN by pressing the SPIN SPEED touch-pad.

? Push PREWASH OPTION four times within five seconds. (If

PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA

RINSE four times within five seconds.) C:00 will light up on the

display.

If the Starting procedure fails, push the PAUSE/CANCEL touch-pad,

then repeat the starting procedure.

I have a kenmore elite calypso that does not respond to most key presses, except when pressing "normal" the "whitest whites" button lites, and when you press "wool/silk", the "jeans/colors" lights, "buly...
Is the panel lock on??
Hold down the power and delay start button at the same time. In about 3-4 seconds a beep will occur and the red key lock will turn off.

If this reset does not work - unplug for 15 minutes and re-try.

If unplugging for 15 minutes does not reset the controller -
your Main Controller board or touchpad has Failed.

Upon inspection you may have a visible sign one or the other has a burned component on it.

The Touchpanel is the culprit on 95% of these machines in my experience.

I believe (hard to remember without having the machine right in front of me) there is a fuse you should check on the Motor Controller board that may have popped when the touchpad started acting up too.

Choose wisely - grasshopper - as purchasing and installing the Touch panel will equate to almost 1/2 of a new appliance with a warranty :D

The prewash light won't stop flashing and washer
get it checked by and expert it sounds like the board has gone or the door lock is faulty

Can't get washer to start again after pushing pause/cancel button
sounds like central control unit problem, you can check for diagnostic mode operation by setting (door closed) drain/spin, no spin, pressing prewash 4 times in 5 secs pressing prewash again will advance through diagnostic cycle. replacing user interface may also be necessary

CONTROL LOCK LIGHT ON. CANN'T USE WASHER.
pull plug wait 5 minutes then plug back in go into diagnostics
close door
push control/on
select drain/spin
select no spin by pushing spin speed touch pad
push prewash optionj four timesw within 5 seconds
c:00 will light up
in order to advance to next step
push prewash option 2 times

if it does not enter diagnostics you must replace main control board

Hi I have a whirlpool duet front load washer (GHW9100lW1) and the status is stuck on CONTROL LOCKED and i can't change it and the machine is no longer working.

Try pressing the following key pad buttons within 5 seconds - PREWASH OPTIONS - WASH TIME, PREWASH OPTIONS - WASH TIME, in this sequence and allow the washer to run. The LED display will start counting down as the washer begins a sequence of short diagnostics tests. If no error is present, the washer will return to standby. If the error persists, you may have a blockage in your drain pump. Please run the test and let me know the results. Total test time is about 1 minute 40 seconds. I hope this helps you.
