Who is your ISP?
It seems you are experiencing intermittent connection. Bypass the router and check if the same problem exist when connected directly to the modem. If the internet works fine with the modem.then you have to configure the router correctly.

You may have caused some serious electrical problems, this could get very costly. You can try disconnecting the battery cables from the battery and then hold them together for 5 mins to reset everything. Chances are you have corrupted the computers though.

Error 668 the coection was terminated

Usually associated with a 'choppy' or disconnected internet connection, for whatever reason - like the line outside your home, ISP problem - or incorrectly installed drivers /set upon your PC.

If the physical internet connection set up is fine on your PC ... cables- routers - - it can also be by driver problems. Try reinstalling the relevant drivers. It could also be a registry error.

Go first to http://download.cnet.com/Free-Window-Registry-Repair/3000-2086_4-10606555.html and download the free Windows registry repair tool. Run it when installed (takes about 5 mins to run).

If the connection still keeps dropping, try reinstalling any drivers you have - modem/router/wireless drivers etc

If the conneection continues to drop the problem may well lie outside of your hands - the ISP. It may just be a temporary problem.

Windows live Messenger 2009 on vista disconnected internet

well, i cant really help with this, but i would first try it out with wired network, and if it doesn't work, then u would know that the problem is with Messenger. then i suggest u could look up the problem on windows live support, or just re-install Messenger. (if the problem is with the wireless internet, then maybe ur Internet Card, inside ur PC is broken or needs to be rebooted) HOPE THIS HELPS!

Works for short time then all lights blink

u ned to make sure router has been properly configured.u may give a try by logging into the router webinterface using 192.168.1.1/routerlogin.com

once u have opnd the router page clik on "basic settings-no and apply the settings",then clik on "router status" and check for ip address internet port(should not be o.o.o.o),if it has some numbers(perfect),then clik on "wireless settings" under "setup" and do all the wireless settings as per requirements

i hope u will try to do all these steps

My son is home visiting and cannot connect to our high speed internet. It must be something on his computer, as my computer when I hook it up works just fine. Can you help me out? Thanks... Pat

Hi,

This may be due to many reasons.

Firstly, you may be trying to connect both machines on the net within a short time interval... normally ISPs don't allow this to happen, as they want to connect only one PC to one home type connection. Try connecting your son's PC after disconnecting your PC for atleast 1 hour. :)

Also, try to check the settings on your son's PC...it may not be having proper settings for accepting a new network conenction due to some settings of security softwares installed.

If everything is OK and still you are not able to connect, please don't feel shy to call your ISP for a rational explanation.

bye

Have a nice day
