HOW I GET SOUND TO COME OUT OV MY LG HOME THEARTRE SYSTEM USING AN OPTICAL CABLE FROM MY LG 37" LG3000 TV .AND HOW DO YOU USE THE SIMPLINK FEATURE ON THE SAME TV . NO INSTUCTION MANUEL. THANK YOU.

This is a manual that should help you, it may even be your model but, it shows hook ups and has a page about the Simplink:
http://www.lg.com/us/support/product/support-product-profile.jsp?customerModelCode=37LH30&matchedModelCode=1000009240&searchEngineModelCode=37LH30&initialTab=documents&targetPage=support-product-profile#
Scroll down to manual, ckick on the one you want, and open. Typically, you would want to hook all video related units directly to TV, via HDMi, Component, RCA, etc., with the componenet video, you have to also have an audio cable, because the componenet does not carry sound. In other words, you want to hook things like, cable/sat box, DVR, etc., directly to TV then, use your digital optical out from tv to digital optical in on your home theater. You use your TV's menu to select what you are watching and you only have to use the one input setting on receiver to listen to all. If you try to route you units through the home theater system first, you may not get the best results and you may expierience lags between the video and audio.

I have an HD PVR (Explorer 8300) and have connected to my Samsung TV using HDMI cable. My question is can I connect my SONY STR DE605 receiver or do I need a new one?

Depending on your tv output, you shpuld be able to hook your TV to receiver via audio output. Running your video components through your receiver will not give you the best performance anyway. Run your HD DVR to TV the way you have it then, if it's possible to run audio out from TV, via, RCA, digital optical, etc., to your receiver. The sound will be transfered through the TV. You may also be able to utilize component out from your HD DVR and a separate audio cable.

Hi, how can i hook up a wireless 5.1 headphone to a denon avr-3808 using an optical connection. I can't find any optical output port on the denon amplifier.

My manual shows two optical outputs labeled "2 (DVR)" and "3 (VCR)" at the upper right of the rear panel.

It's unclear what will appear there when playing any particular analog source.

sometimes with cable, satellite, or any dvr, the digital signal actually is intermittent and there is little we can do about it but add an analog audio connection for each device as a backup. per se, and put the receiver in auto input mode. the receiver will utilize the analog signal to fill in where the digital signal fails

Convertor box and Sony Wega with PIP (2 Tuners) and new Digital DVR/VCR

I wonder if the RF interference from the digital tuner. That box will only allow ouput either through the coax or the AV ports. If you do both you will not get a picture.

If you switch them you have to tell the box what your using for output by going through the setup process.

Is the Zenith 901 converter box for your cable TV.

Optical input from Sony PS3 Playstation.

Have you tried setting the PS3 on linear PCM output instead of bitstream? The DVR 50 may not say Dolby Digital since the optical cable goes directly from the PS3 to it but you may get the surround channel output you're looking for.

Digital audio problems

Try using a different cable for starters, regular rca, another optical or coaxial. If the optical works, then its a cable problem. If the coaxial works(and another optical doesnt), then its a cable/jack problem. If the RCA works(and the rest don't), then its a problem with the digital output. Try blowing into the holes, and if nothing works and you can't find any other advice, contact Pioneer. Good luck
