For replacement of Hitachi TV remote controls under warranty, including CLE-1018A (for TV model DF4000DV and perhaps others), you need to contact Tempo Australia, phone 02 9975 2199 or 1300 886 649 (you may need to stay on the line for more than 15 minutes before you can talk to someone). Hopefully they can also advise you on purchase of a remote control if you are not making a warranty claim.
The best solution for you would be to purchase a new remote control.
You can contact the manufacturer of your TV directly to arrange purchase of a remote or you can go in to an electronics store and purchase a universal remote for less than $10. With a universal remote, you need to do a code search and program it in, but it can do most basic functions of your tv.
You can go back to the store you purchased the TV and see if they have your remote in stock.
You can do an internet search to find the exact factory remote that you currently have.
You can do an internet search for a programmable remote that could control other devices connected to your living room.
From there, you can purchase the remote from a company that has the one you want at a price and warranty that is right for you. Before you get looking for a new remote. You will need the complete model number of the TV and sometimes S/R of your TV.This information will be found on a sticker located on the back side of your TV.Don’t trust the model shown on your user manual because sometimes that number is completely correct. Good Luck.
the satellite receiver is actually not compatible with your remote I would suggest purchasing a new universal the website im linking has a compatibility guarantee feature that will help you if you do decide to make a new purchase
disregard. I contacted Directv direct. They are sending me a new remote and I do not have to purchase a new box. The installer was wrong when he told me that.
The Harmony 600 will work with a Daenyx tv. It costs about $80.00 Cdn and codes are provided by the Harmony website during programming. The site just needs the product name and model number. I have a Daenyx DN-193 purchased in 2009 and the Harmony 600 works perfectly with it.
