You need to click on Start (which is located on the lower left corner of your screen ) > Then click on "All Programs" > Choose " Accessories " > Then "System Tools" > Then click on "System Restore" > then choose the date where you want to have your files restore

System Restore will allow you to restore your files on an earlier date provided that you have it save that date as a "restore point"

Another option is to have your important files save in an external drive or flashdrive then have your windows reinstalled to make sure that fresh and clean

Hope this help you a bit. Have great day.

Only comes on when touching the actual power button, not working when pushing the PS button on the controllers. When on, there's no menu, just the wavy blue background, after a few minutes, it says it...

Ironically this happened to me just the other day. What I ended up doing was a complete reset/format. You will lose some data so I hope you have a back up.

Press and hold the power button until the light on the playstation goes red again.
Let off the power button and press again, hold it until you hear two fast beeps.
Once you hear the beeps release the button.
Plug your controller in via the USB cable.
It will now bring you to a recovery menu.

It will give you these options:

  • estart System:
    • Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.

  • Restore Default Settings:
    • Reset all system settings back to default.

  • Restore File System:
    • Checks for corrupt/missing system files.

  • Rebuild Database:
    • Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.

  • Restore PS3 System:
    • Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.

  • System Update:
    • Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System
You CAN try restore file system but since you said it froze, it probably won't work again...but you can give it a shot. It didn't work for me. What I ended up having to do was "Restore PS3 System". This will format everything and start from scratch.

Also, another quick fix that you can try would be to pop open the ps3 hard drive case, remove the drive and plug it back in to ensure that it's properly seated.

If none of these work you may have a dead hard drive and it will need to be replaced.

I hope this helps! If this did help you, please give a thumbs up!

This time after you uninstall the norton antivirus, it's been corrupted your VGA Drivers & etc., I don't know what else have been corrupted after you uninstall.
All you have to do is restore the system or system restore.
If you enter at Windows Safe Mode the restore using checkpoints on your system.
If not then reformat you windows.

Here are the tips on how to use system restore.

You'll see options allowing you to create restore points and restore your computer to a previous time. Having trouble with HP ..Windows XP

I suggest that :
  1. Press F8, choose command line (if you know) and backup any file that you need (copy to an external drive, pen drive, cd or other medium). Please skip this step if you allready have updated backups.
  2. you restore the windows XP with the original cd / dvd, and choose format disk.
  3. remove the cd / dvd when asked for reboot
  4. Restore your data files and update the operation system with Microsoft update.
Hope that helps. Please inform what hp model you have for further help.
