When i moved into the new computer (xp to windows 7) i needed to get a new encoder it was "fastencc" it is now called "lame". I dont know if this is a software problem or a hardware problem. The people /makers of the product seem to be baffled at this as well. One other irritating problem that i have had is the reception from tiime to time drops in and out leaving gaps of a few seconds throughout the recording often leaving it worthless.
