Everytime i turn on my hp psc 1510 printer the check paper light flashes and it half gobbles up a sheet of paper then jams. also when i open the front flap to check cartridge installation is correct the cartridges do not come to the right

I left it turned off for three days, and when i turned it on it worked. Next time I will buy a canon printer.

It is possible there was a sheet of paper stuck half way thru.

You might have a bit of paper stuck deep inside the printer. Read your printer's user guide manual. for how to remove paper that is jammed inside the printer. If you haven't got your printer's user guide manual, then just download a pdf version from your printer manufacturer's website.

There may be a very small jam in the printer. Also, test with a different **** of paper. Put in one sheet to test.

demonte entierement ton hp psc 1510 entierement et regarde du cote droit a la station de nettoyage;il ya une petite target qui doit etre cassee du cote haut ou bas . je dis bien cette target se trouve au bout du bloc des rouleau avance papier avec un ressort de rapel accrocher dessus . i have to intall my HP PSC 1510 All-in-One Printerand i lost the cd for do that what can i do ?

I tried what phrek said (" Pressing the flashing buttons simultaneously, evokes the printer to spit out an internal diagnostic page ..."), but after the diagnostic page printed out the printer worked fine again.

Thanks for the help, and hopefully things work out for the rest of you as well.

1. check the paper to see that it's dry and clean

2. riffle(spread paper with fingers) and place inside of tray

3. open up the printer, and inspect for any little pieces hanging on rollers.

4. Open a cold one, and ponder the significance of life without printers.

Usually in the instruction book or under "help" when you open your Printer under Control panel /Printer Properties there is a section that deal in flashing lights on the printer.
This will help in finding out what area the real problem is in...sounds like a paper jam or feed problem.
