SOURCE: Unlock codes for Pioneer DVD player

Pioneer DV-667A

Converting the player to Multi-Region:

Requires the use of a Palm Pilot w/Palm OS 3.0 or later and the OmniRemote Pro from http://www.pacificneotek.com/
(Other PDAs using Palm OS and compatible with the OmniRemote Pro from http://www.pacificneotek.com/ can also be used).

1. Program the Palm Pilot/OmniRemote. For instructions on programming the Palm Pilot/OmniRemote click How to Program the Palm Pilot.
2. Power on the DVD player without any DVD in the tray.
3. Keep the programmed Palm Pilot close to the IR port of the DVD player.
4. Start the OmniRemote program.
5. Place OmniRemote in TV mode and tap the "0" button on the OmniRemote.
6. The DVD player will power off.
7. Power the DVD player on again. Check the Region-free status by playing a DVD.

SOURCE: pioneer DV 310 K region free

Step 1) Download the pioneer firmware here http://www.pioneerfaq.info/index.php?question=Firmwares

The site says the firmware only works on region 2 players. For this model it worked for my region 4 player in Australia

Step 2) Burn this file to a CD-ROM with name PIONEER as per these instructions - http://www.pioneerfaq.info/english/burn_guide.php

Step 3) Load the CD and your DVD player with ask you to flash the firmware. It says press play to start but instead HOLD DOWN ENTER during the entire process. DO NOT switch off your DVD during this time. When the tray opens take the CD ROM out but keep the DVD on. The flashing can take up two to three minutes. During this time HOLD DOWN ENTER ON THE REMOTE. The entire time!

Step 4) The DVD player will reboot. The tray should be empty. It will then load the tray back into the player. If the signal is disorted switch on and off.

Your done! Should work.

The most complex way of region freeing a DVD I have ever endured! :)

    Turn on your DVD player.

  • 2
Open the DVD player's main drive, also commonly called the DVD "tray." The region cannot be changed while a DVD is in the machine, so many DVD players require the tray to be open as an extra precaution.

  • 3
Push "Info" or "Setup" on your remote.

  • 4
Use the remote to select the "Region" option as indicated on your TV screen.

  • 5
Select "Region 9" to change the system to multiregion formatting. Regions 1 through 8 represent specific geographic locations and will not allow multiregion playback.

Pioneer model # DV-c503 will play DVD but does not play CD's anymore.

Hello,
The problem could be dirt on the surface of the lens.
Use a dry cotton bud to clean the surface of the lens, this you have to do gently because the lens is fragile.
If otherwise you have to change the lens.
Try websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy parts for replacement..

I live in germany and want to play dvd,s from Australia, Pioneer DV-360 from german store

Most DVD players I've seen are either multi-regional or one-region units. The DVD player you bought might be a one-region device. I'd check on that first. If it is, then you'll only be able to play DVD's made for that particular region. If it is multi-regional, look in the manual or go to Pioneer's website to possibly find the codes.
