Some folks have this problem. But, it usually can be solved by pinching the flesh in the area you're going to use and hold it while you use the lancet. Also, you may have to try using a different type of lancet, that will pierce a little deeper.

Hope this helps you.

Love Your Skin

By following these few, easy steps you will be able to keep your skin healthy and beautiful for many years to come.

1. Make sure to protect your skin from the sun. Sun exposure ages and wrinkles the skin and increases the risk of skin cancer.
Use sunscreen. Apply 15 minutes before you leave the house.

2. Smoking, too, ages and wrinkles the skin by narrowing the blood vessels, therefore decreasing blood flow, which deplates the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are essential to skin health. So don't smoke!

3. Be gentle with your skin. Everyday cleansing and shaving can damage it. Therefore you should:
- Limit bath time. Long baths and showers remove oils from the skin. Also it's better to use warm rather than hot water.
- Avoid strong soaps. Better to use a mild cleanser.
- Shave carefully. Lubricate your skin before shaving, with shaving cream, lotion or gel. Use clean, sharp razors. And especially, shave in the direction your hair grows, not against it.
- Moisturize your skin. Use moisturizers when the skin is dry, preferably containing SPF.

4. Eat healthily. Lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins help you feel and look your best.

5. Live a clean and healthy routine. Change the bed sheets and wash your towel often, to avoid rolling in and brushing with germs and bacteria. Set up a routine to cleanse your face before going to bed.

Don't smoke-Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles....

Don't smoke-Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients, such as vitamin A, that are important to skin health. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin - fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity.

Why do mosquitos like O blood more than the other types of blood then?

Mosquitoes are attracted not only by things like the CO2 that you exhale, but they are also attracted by the odor that are blood secretes through our skin. For some reason that scientists haven't figure out yet Type O blood secretes more chemical "odor" than any other blood type. The interesting thing about all of this is that our genetics will control whether or not we will secrete those "odorant markers" through our skin. For some reason people with Type O blood are genetically pre-disposed to secreting that odor through their skin. Some people genes stop them from putting out any type of odor from their blood at all. This of course doesn't mean that they will not get bitten at all. It just means that their blood "smell" will not help to attract the mosquitoes to them.

So if you are a Type O person, once the mosquito is attracted to you by your CO2, your blood odor will help to make you attractive enough that not only will the mosquito come to check you out, she will also probably land on you and bite you. Type O or not, the best defense against the mosquito is still either staying indoors, using mosquito nets, or using any repellant that contains DEET. This is still the single best repellant agent out there to use against the little blood suckers. As some people can be sensitive or allergic to DEET make sure that you try some of the repellant on a small patch of skin to see if you have any reaction to it before rubbing or spraying the repellant all over your body.
