My screen is black on my 4 month razr

if the screen is black then you need to replace with new one.droid phone lcd has flex cable so I don't think it just loose.thanks.

check the oem ribbon that runs to screen. the design of phone hinge is faulty, and usually cuts the ribbon that runs up to the screen after months of openings and closings,preventing it from lighting up. sometimes its the earpiece wires on the ribbon that get cut which prohibits u from hearing anything when u hold the phone to your ear and u have to switch to speaker...bummer..sooo my friend, CHECK THE RIBBON.

I have been buying and repairing razrs for a month now and know how to do this well first of all you will need a t6 screwdriver to take out the 4 screws then you need to seperate the housing with a credit card or somthing thin it may be a little tight but dont worry about it breaking it will come off some have two little flex cables connected and some have one check yours and disconnect then carfully pull your lcd out and put your new one in.

You'll need a new phone. RAZRs die a lot, and they start their final journey this way - with smaller malfunctions that end up leading to death. Move your contacts to the SIM card if you get the phone to function again, and go get a new one soon. This one's on the way out.

Either your flex cable is broken or came loose. Is the top left hinge button still intact? Is it loose at the hinge? You will need a Torx 4 screwdriver to take the LCD screen apart to check the flex cable inside.

Try the phone while plugged in and see what happens.  If it works fine then it's probably the battery or the contacts to the battery.  I've had a problem with my razr that's similar to this.  My razr is on the keys light up when i press something but the screen is completely blank open and closed and all the buttons work.  Best thing to try is leave out with battery and sim card out and it might start working again.  However if it is only 2 months old it should still be covered under warranty.  

it would be your display light is out and as far as I know the only way to fix that is to get a whole new LCD screen assembly. If that is the case go buy a new phone and not a RZR I know it's popular but honestly I've seen hundred's of them in my store busted and unusable after only a month or so. Not all motorola phones are bad but this one is the biggest piece of crap. I rank it with Kyocera phones!!!!!!

take this to your provider to have fixed the sceern has broke in either a cable losse or a crack but thell fix it.
