If this a genuine antivirus programme, then when you start the notebook, keep pressing F8, this will load up windows in safe mode and not allow any viruses or trojans to run.

When the options appear on screen, choose start windows with VGA mode by highlighting it then press enter, you may be asked the operating system, just choose it as it's shown.

A load of driver files then run on the screen, then it tells you that your in safe mode and to continue.

You will then see your account and an administrators account, click this then your desktop will load, although the icons will be larger, then run you anti virus programme.

If this is a free antivirus programme off the net then you may well have actually installed a virus by doing so, i would only recommend using AVG Free version 8, as this is genuine.

you can get it here if required

When i try to open my pen drive it says I:\ access denied can anyone help me pls pls solve my problm

If you are sure that there's no drive or folder protection software installed, follow the below instructions;

Connect the pen drive on a usb port of your computer, > Open "My Computer" > click on the drop down menu button on the right hand side of the address bar
6bddadb.jpg

and from the available lists shown, select your pen drive's drive name/letter, suppose if it's "K", then move your mouse and select it.

This will open the your pendrive, if there's no actual protection. In most cases this is caused by virus and spyware, but we can alternatively open it in this way. If there's problem accessing the data or opening it as mentioned above, the scan it using an updated antivirus. It's also possible that you can open it on another computer and can't be opened on another, so try it on other system and backup the files, then format it, that'll fix your problem.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Acer Desk Top-DVD/RW-No Function,Virus in system,antivirus to be loaded.Data Backup & Formatting,reloading all software.

Your PC is virus infected. Although you can install anti virus and run update for your protection but still the antivirus software can't be installed. Since pop up notice tells you to back up files for reformatting, then you need to transfer all data to drive D. If your formatting is on drive C, your files on the other drive willnot be deleted as long as you have to reformat the drive for your OS,.
Install first antivirus after the formatting and update your virus protector. After that you can transfer and install some of components in your system.
Most of the times viruses destroys your CD ROM drive and other systems.
Hope this will help you.
Enjoy.

How to remove trojan horse virus in usb 2gb

Connect USB drive to USB port. When icons appears in My Computer, right click on it. A popup menu appears showing option for virus scan.By clicking on it scan the entire drive.
But dont ever open that USB drive, if there is a possible trojan. because when you will open that USB drive, the trojan will be copied into your hard drive automatically.
Best way to remove trojan is to completely format your USB drive.

How to protect my system without any virus threats.....?

  • If your are not using the internet very often, Then the only source of infection is through use of infected files from CD/DVD/FLOPPY/Pen Drives. So its always a best practice to scan the media before using the files on them.
  • Also whenever you do connect to the internet, you need to update the antivirus.
  • If you have no option to connect to the internet, most anti virus providers offer patches. Which can be downloaded from a cybercafe and then updated in your system.
Rate the solution if it helps !

Opening of drives

I have seen this several times and it is brought about due to a virus that creates an autorun file (autorun.ini).

In this file when you double click the drive, executes the file and in the autorun file exists any of the following: -
Microsoftpowerpoint.exe
smss.exe
.... or many others.

It is good thing that you have a strong antivirus which seems to have removed the viruses and therefore when the information file is opened, it does not find the executables it was supposed to run. That is why it asks for a program to open.

You can prove this by right clicking on the drive to see a shortcut menu and in this menu, the bolded menu will be the action taken when double clicked and the possibility is that you will find Autorun bolded.

To resolve the issue do the following:
1) Open My computer program or windows explorer.
2) Right click on the drive and open or explore it.
3) Locate the file Autorun and delete it. If the file is not shown, from the folder options choose show all files. This is because sometimes this file may be hidden.

Try double clicking the drives again to see if you get he same error.

NOTE: Many virus developers have made possible for people to install/run viruses in there own computers by simply double clicking the drives like flash disk.

I have a problem upgrading

Open and back all important if you could still open you hard disk drive in another media like flash disks or cards then reformat and reinstall your new OS. do not ctrl A and copy all files when your return them back rememember to scan them using powerful antivirus software before you return data to your newly reformatted HDD or else you may be copying the virus back. Have it cleaned by PC with updated Antivirus programs.
