    Try this first
Hold down the TV button til the light either flashes or stays on and
then keep hitting the power button until your TV either goes On or goes
Off. Put your TV On first, as the receiver will shut
it off easier as a recognition prompt than the other way 'round...

Tv will not power up

Press the TV button or ON/OFF button while remote is in TV mode and there's a source of power to the outlet or outlet strip.

Make sure the TV is plugged in.

You might have tried to turn on the TV during the lamp cool-down. Wait a few moments and the picture will appear.

Has the power light on the front of the TV been blinking for one minute? If so, the lamp may be dead. Refer to the Power indicator
is blinking or flashing section below for more information.

When you first plug your TV into an outlet, the Power indicator on the front panel will light and blink for approximately 30 seconds
and then go off during the initialization of the TV. This happens only when the TV is unplugged and plugged back in. The TV can
only be turned on after the Power indicator goes off.

Check the wall receptacle (or extension cord) to make sure it is "live" by plugging in something else, such as a lamp.

Something might be wrong with your remote control. Press the POWER button on the front of the TV. If the TV turns on, check the
remote control solutions on page 53.

Multiple TV Setup might be set to the wrong option. Press MENU/OK on the front panel. Select Setup Options, then Advanced
Options, then Multiple TV Setup. Choose TV (default).

I was watching TV and suddenly the screen went black. No picture, no sound. On/off timer LED on TV started blinking. I could not turn it on (or off) with remote or ON switch on TV. I found that if I...

The television is shutting itself off to protect itself. The blinking light is a code pattern. The specific code determines whether or not you need an LCD Controller Unit, Main Board, power supply or something else. You would need the service manual. There are parts distributors you can get it from and the parts as well. If soldering and tv repair is not something you are entirely familiar you may want to seek a tv repair person. The manufacturer's support may walk you through the service menus to complete a factory reset depending upon the symptoms.

I have a toshiba theatre view 52-54 in.? There is no picture-it seems like the tv is off but the power button light keeps blinking. Tried using remote and button on tv. neither works.

Same problem with mine. I find that if i unplug it and let it sit for about 15 minutes ( let the capacitor drain?) i can plug it back in and it automatically comes back on and works fine till I want to turn it off again and it goes right back to the flashing power light.
I bought an on/off remote for the wall oulet and it makes a great work-around.

Sharp AQUOS LC-52D62U LCD TV

Sharp lcd screens are very easly damaged especially the larger screens, this could be at fault even though it looks ok,try shinning a light on the screen and checking every inch, could be the internal screen that has damage hence why not powering up.
Failing that it sounds like an internal short.
