I bought this game and a second hand DS Lite.
Whenever I move my character, it appears that trees, grass, characters etc increase in colour intensity. It doesn't affect gameplay, however it is VERY noticable.
I thought this may have been due to it being second hand. I tried the game on an original DS system, and it worked fine, the colours stayed the same.
However when I tried it on a friends DS Lite, the same thing happened, and the colours suddenly become very bright when I move.
I've done some research, but the only thing I can think of is that it may be due to the DS Lite's increased screen brightness. However I am still not convinced, and am unsure whether this is normal or whether to return the game or the DS Lite itself. Many thanks!
Yes it probably is the second hand ds and yes it is the brightness the ds probably doesnt like it too bright you have to belive me because sometimes i get this problem on other games so I turn down the brightness and it works!

Far as I know coming from former GameBoys even to the DS. The game itself is not saved upon the actual Game itself, but the System or in the case the Gameboy. If he had played the game before most likely it is a previous saved gamed he palyed or someone else. All pokemon games have a common point, that you can only play one game at a time, if you try to start a new game, the previous saved game is deleted after saving on a new game. Granted that I have not played the newer verisons of the Pokemon, but if they are anything like the older verions. Emerald, Ruby, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Etc. They will delete the game once a new game is started and saved.
To my knowledge there is no way to disable just one set of the sounds. If there is it would be under a settings menu, try hitting the start button while playing the game (or other buttons, until you see something like a menu pop up) and look for settings, audio settings, sound settings, or anything like this. However, if you have never gone in here in the past then there is no way this is the case. Chances are that the sounds just haven't played the last couple battles, I think they are more random than anything, sounds like it's probably working fine.
IN the first level it is not indy who has the shovel the other guy has it on his back so you have to switch to him (switch characters by using X ) then he has to be standing in the right spot and shovel will appear ( you have to move a round and watch close for shovel to appear it is kind of finickey ) as for building i don't think you can have a weapon in your hands once you stand close enough the pile of lego will rattle press and hold A and you should build . hope this helps ya . I love this game once you get the hang of it it's super fun .
