Compaq Presario S0000/8000 Series hard drive won't turn on. Green light on back is blinking. Power strip is working, modem, monitor and speakers getting power and working?

Our power went out last night for about 30 minutes and when it came back on, my computer won't turn on. The green light on the back of the power supply is blinking, but I get nothing when I push the power button.

I turned the electric off to change a wall light and forgot my PC wasn't shut down properly, when I tried to start it up the power lights flash it beeps twice then nothing! Having researched a little it seems the problem may be somthing to do with memory parity error! (whatever that is!) now worried how much it's gonna cost to fix!!! I have the same problem. Checked all connections. Power strip is working. Front power light and back light are both flashing.

I have a pavilion 600, I powered the computer down and moved it to a new location in the house. When I went to plug it back in it would not power up. The fans don't run, but the back light near the power plug blinked green and the front power button blinked blue. PLEASE help me find a solution.
