Hi, i recently purchased a samsung rv510 and it was working fine until a few weeks ago. i have a wireless network setup and my connection was working fine until a few weeks back, now it doesnt allow me to connect to the network unless i'm in the same room as the router...any ideas? 2 other laptops (not samsung) work fine and are able to connect from anywhere else in the house.
Hmmm.. Have you tried creating a new connection? If not try it. If it still doesn't work, try reinstalling your network adapter.Hmmm.. Have you tried creating a new connection? If not try it. If it still doesn't work, try reinstalling your network adapter.

The first thing to do is reset the router. There is a button on the router that you press with a paper clip. You will then have to access the router with your browser and a cat5 cable connection to change all the settings that you might need to change for security. DHCP should be enabled and there should not be an issue with the number of concurrent connections.
It should work right out of the box....It has built-in connectivity to Verizon Wireless 3G network & a pre-installed SIM card that provides access in more than 200 countries.
Are you connecting to your own wireless router? If yes, have you changed anything in its configuration, or inadvertently reset it? If you're connecting to someone else's router (neighbor, etc.) it could be that they have locked you out. Does the wireless network show as secured? This sounds more like a security issue than hardware or driver.
Hi
Try to unplug the power cable of your router for a minute or 2 to re-establish its connection to server. Then try reconnecting to your home network.
Hope this helps
The network card should be configured to obtain a IP address automatically,
Open Control Panel - click on Network Connections - right click on the network/wireless card - select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties and then enable Obtain an IP address automatically and enable Obtain DNS server address automatically.then click OK and click OK again.
This is just a problem with the wireless settings of the router, you can try first to reset the router by pressing the reset button for 20 seconds while power is ON and then after that you should be able to find the default wireless name of the router which is linksys, after you reset the router just need to reconfigure it back...
You did mention that it was working fine for several weeks suddenly your wireless computers stopped functioning and your getting a message that the security key in incorrect. This only means that its either your entering the wrong encryption key or someone changed the previous security key to something else. By the way what type of wireless security did you configured on the router initially was it WEP or WPA, if its WEP(64 or 128 bit) and your using a bulit-in wireless adapter on your laptop you need the default WEP key because the passphrase only works with a Netgear WLAN Utility.
Know if your having difficulties accessing the setup page of the router you may need to check on your browser settings, turn off the pop up blocker and firewall temporarily, also try another computer. Now if all fails you may need to press that reset button on your router and set it up again.
