Durabrand products are no longer supported. The company that made the product line for Wal Mart went out of business in November of 2007. Wal Mart has been exchanging the players with new ones of equal of lesser value.

There is a third party company that claims to be supporting but there have been problems with ripping off the customer. If Wal Mart can't support the product I don't know why another company thinks they can.

My funai DVD player will not play burned disks. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

you can change your DVD player or change type of DVD's that you are burning and check if they will work.

some explanation can be found here about different DVD types:

Dvd-l200

It depends how you burn movies (for example). If you burned as data disc, it's probably won't play it. Make sure you burn movies as DVD format.

Just bought an ONN dvd player and will not play burnt dvds. It says it will play DVD-R/RW. Any ideas to why it won't?

Burn your dvds in a proper way. If you burn your dvds as data dvd, it may not work on certain dvd players. Try different software or different PC to burn your dvds. Check the region code of your dvd player & the dvds burnt. They should match. You may find some region-free players.

Compaq 7600 will not play, burn, cds or dvds

it seems more problem of dvd rom than a update. try to clean the lense with wet tissue. first try to boot your system with bootable cd/dvd. if it booted it means the software gone corrupt otherwise cd gone bad.

After finalizing DVD will not play on other DVD players etc

You need to choose the correct option in your software before you burn a dvd if you want it to play on other dvds. Before you choose 'burn' look at the options on the page, it generally gives you two options, one option to burn to play back on your computer only and one option to play back on most dvds. Have a look around on the screen when you burn the disks
