Help! My CD is stuck and receiver will not power up!
My KDC Mp225 is 2 years old and in a hot tub. My CD will not eject and the receiver will power to standby on new start. When I attempt to eject the unit powers down. When faceplate is removed the red light on lower right blinks. I've checked the fuses and they are not blown. Help!

It sounds like the head unit is going bad. If the CD is not that important to you dont worry about it. Also you may want to check the fuses behind the head unit. Also make sure the 12 V+ Memory backup, ground, and Ignition Wires are hooked up correctly. Well, the ignition probably is, but you never know. I hope this is helpful!

It sounds like the stereo has got some faulty circuitry internally. You'll need to replace the unit to be able to listen to CDs in your hot tub. you may want to look into getting a marine radio as a replacement. I'm sure this will be more suited to this application and is probably the kind that should have come with the tub in the first place. I hope this helps and good luck!
No - there is no manual eject. It must be disassembled to remove the CD. Your eject mechanism or motor has failed.
Sometimes tapping on the unit or removing it completely and doing it while level frees up a jammed mechanism - but otherwise the chassis must be disassembled.
Any repair shop will do it for about $20.

Hi there, If you like you can read throuh the manual for further help if this fails, at this address : http://www.cartoys.com/cartoy/pdfs/kdc-122s_manual.pdf
However the units have a forcible eject mode, im raking my brain for it but i think 90% sure its as follows... Try pressing and holding eject and the power button at the same time for about three to five seconds, the machine shoudl buzz louder then normal an do a full eject cycle for about 2 seconds, If worse comes to worse you can take off the outer casing four screws (if not under warranty) and carefully lift the disc slightly and slide it out. Take care to to force anything as you can damage/scratch the unit. Another option is that you ring the Kenwwod customer service number and ask how them what the button press combination is for forcibly ejecting cds from the unit. you may need to ask for someone in repairs there to get a knowlegable answer, Hope this helps Cheers STeve
There is a small hole at the bottom of the stereo face that will reset the system. I pushed a pen tip into the hole and it turned the stereo off. When I removed the pen, the system turned on and the CD ejected. Problem solved.
can you try to see the front panel of your CD player and find a very tiny hole there. you insert a small pin there about 2inches lengght at least and push it inside. if the tray is in the home position then you must be able to eject the tray manually but if it is stuck in the play position then the cd mechanism has to be dismantled
