Are you sure that the T'con board that you have changed is with its original number? I don't think so.

you need the drivers for the laptop, Il take a look

It's part of the mother board I had a 4100 series and replaced MB 3 times then told them to keep it the third time.

You can restore your computer to an earlier date by using system restore. click-start-all programs-accesories-system tools-system restore. Than follow directions.

and
Product Name.
This will then take you to the next window where you need to select your
Operating System. Then you will get your download driver.

Sounds very much like a video driver issue. Most likely from the aspect that the video driver MAY not have compatibility with your reinstalled o/s. Look for the video driver option, under system then hardware configuration. You MAY need to remove that video from the list, then have the Plug and Play reinstall it. The driver is perhaps on the accessories disk you should have with your Dell.
