I believe it is an Avertec AV4155. You can try and let Windows update find a driver first. I also have a link attached to a site that has the audio, video and AGP driver. Thanks for using FixYa

Are you sure that the T'con board that you have changed is with its original number? I don't think so.

I have a 4100 series averatec AV4155-EH1 and need to get the cd/dvd burner replaced & don't know what kind to get.

It's part of the mother board I had a 4100 series and replaced MB 3 times then told them to keep it the third time.

VIDEO ACCELERATOR NOT DETECTED

Sounds very much like a video driver issue. Most likely from the aspect that the video driver MAY not have compatibility with your reinstalled o/s. Look for the video driver option, under system then hardware configuration. You MAY need to remove that video from the list, then have the Plug and Play reinstall it. The driver is perhaps on the accessories disk you should have with your Dell.
