If you do not have an sd card, the camera only allows a few pictures. If you do have an sd card, it might be full and the camera is not reading it all. Best way to check is plug it into the computer and see that way. Other than that, you might want to format your card.

TRANSFER PHOTOS FROM CAMERA TO PC

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

What is the format feature?

It's to format the memory card. This clears all data from the card and prepares it for use. This should be done each time you finish downloading your pictures to your computer---FixYa is full of people asking how to recover pictures from cards that haven't been formatted regularly.

File error/polaroid camera polaroid t1031

I have the same camera and that happens to mine sometimes. That happens when something wasn't right when you took the picture. If you press the delete button while it has the "file error" on the screen, it will delete the file and then you can continue use with your camera. Sometimes when this happens it freezes the camera so you have to turn it off and back on, then try deleting it. I hope this helps you!!
