Does anyone know where I can find the correct code of this machine?
I am trying to use my DISH TV Remote Control to control the unit.
Every other component on my Home Theatre works just find, and was very easy to find their code by using the scan option built into the DISH remote control. I have used the manual mode and punched in every Toshiba code I could find. The scan method failed to work, and I ran it through scan for over 30 minutes.
The only thing I can think of is the unit has a 4 digit code instead of 3 digits. If that's the case I can run the scan for code option all day to get through all of the possibilities that 4 digits have.
Looking for the code to enter into my Sony Integrated Remote Commander's (RM-VL600) DVD button so as to be able to control my Toshiba D-R4SU DVD Video Recorder. I have successfully program the remote for my other components.
Sure would be nice if I could find a code that works, even just, On/Off, Play, Pause, and Stop.

Try holding down the tv power button and keep holding it while you press the channel button until your tv comes in.. It takes a few pushes. Make sure your tv is off first though.

We only have 3 codes available for an LG DVD player. I have listed them below! If neither of the codes work, let me know and I will assist you further.
We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your Sanyo DVD/VCR combo unit. Pressand hold the VCR/DVD button located on the top of your remote until all mode buttonback lights come on, then release. Use the number buttons to enter thecodes for your Sanyo DVD/VCR combo unit; here some of the codes we currently have: 549, 583, and 608. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the codeworks try several different functions on the remote to make sure it willproperly operate the TV. Keep in mind that some codes may not be compatiblewith your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for thatdevice until you find one that is compatible with your equipment.
If you were not able to get your DISH remote to work with it with the codes provided, try a power scan. Pressand hold the VCR/DVD button located on the top of your remote until all mode buttonback lights come on, then release. Press and release the power button. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the VCR/DVD combo unit. If the code for the equipment comes up, it will power off. Press the pound (#) button.

ive done it a few years ago but forgot.

With the dish remote and do a code search as described in the remote manual and see if you can find it that way. If you go through the entire code search and none of them turn off the VCR/DVD combo, then there is nothing you can do, as those codes in the remote are all stored in the remote and they cannot be programed in. If you do not have a remote manual to set up the remote, to do a code search, simply go to the dishnetwork web site and search for it.
