I bought a superwritemaster se-s224 dvd writer and it didnt contain any software or instalation guide,i dont even know wether it should have come with a software disc or not?i set it up and tried to burn a dvd using img-burn program on my pc,didnt burn to dvd-r when it said it was writing.dont have a clue what step to take next?need help urgently please.

External hardware either comes with a setup disc containing the drivers, or Windows Drivers in the Win32sys has them pre-installed. Other than that, try the manufactures web site for updates to the hardware drivers for Win7.
maybe your sound problem you can fixit with k-lite codec pack, download and install , you can use xp, vista . 7 etc, if cant burn use the last version of nero abalable

It's quite easy to use CD/DVD Burner. Most of the CD/DVD writer comes with the Installation CD, that contains the burning software (mostly Nero Burning Rome). Just Install the Software from this CD.
Now you see the programe icon on desktop (i.e. Nero). Double Click on this icon, and you will be presented with the choice, as what type of CD or DVD you want to burn (i.e. Music, Picture, Date). Select the appropriate option. Now add files and click on BURN, when ready. In no time your CD/DVD is ready.
Turn the burn rate down.If that does not solve the problem.reinstall the burn program.
