If BIOS password is enabled, only way to get rid of it is to perform BIOS reset. Has to be done by BIOS jumper, or some cases removing the CMOS battery.
1. Go into Control Panel, click on Mouse. Mouse properties should pop up with Dell Touchpad on top. 2. Click to change the properties. Look to make sure touchpad is enabled and all settings are as you want them.
change your power options so that it goes to standby when you press the power button or when you close the lid. if it does not help, update the BIOS and a reinstall of Windows may also be needed/
First 2 of your problems are due to the fact that your laptop enters hibernation (or hybrid sleep in windows 7) and windows cannot restore your last saved state. The 3rd problem indicates you have windows problems (bad/not updated drivers, filesystem corruption, application issues). I would suggest you to reinstall windows.
First, please check that if your Dell Vostro 1520 battery and laptop connection place is clean, please clean them and test if it will get better.Else, you can find something useful in this article's last post: battery can't be detected by laptop
Restarting the laptop will also fix the problem. It comes from very poor Driver software on the Broadcom Wireless card. To fix this, go to support.dell.com and get the latest driver, it fixes the issue :)
