Oh, I'd say it's just a driver glitch. Uninstall the keyboard drivers from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the keyboard and reinstall the drivers. This should fix it, if not, get back to me, and we'll try something else.

Hi, i have a toshiba x205-s9800. my two year old seems to have accidently pressed some keys and disabled the keyboard...please help...

You could have deleted the keyboard in the device manager. If so, rebooting your computer and it will find it.
Are all the keys not working or just some? Take a look at this hint and see if it fits.

Faulty keyboard duo to dust or liquid spill. Try using external keyboard, if it is working then you've got to replace your laptop keyboard.

Keys not working

Does your daughter eat or drink over the computer?

Reset the PRAM, if nothing yet, replace the keyboard. Because thats a string location, which means if you look at it, its a "line" across the keyboard, that usually happens when there has been liquid spillage. If so, the warranty has also been voided and may require paying for labor and parts.

Keyboard doesn't work

Ok, well it is probalby going to be one of two things. and seeing that you did not mentin that the computer dose not start up and boot fully then I am going to narrow it down to one. Chances are she broke the keyboard or shook the cable loose. when you have time and internet access to be able to talk to me on here and have me walk you through removing the keyboard to check it let me know. I am able to talk with you 24/7 just give me a couple of hours of notice so I can keep my attention on your situation.

Wireless mouse/keyboard

The manufacturer no longer has the drivers on its web site nor could I find drivers on any of the archive sites I?m aware of. If you?re in love with this mouse I would try emailing Sakar (http://www.sakar.com/about.aspx) to see if they will send you the drivers for your operating system. If that doesn?t work you could try just letting Windows try to find/install the best driver it has. If that doesn?t work it just might be time for an upgrade.
