Open new Internet Explorer and type in address Bar " http://192.168.1.1" and hit enter.
Leave user name field blank and type "admin" for the password. If you changed the router password, then log in using your password to login to the router.
Once you are in the router setup page, click on the Wireless Tab at the very top of the page. Once you are in the Wireless Tab, just right under the word Wireless you click the sub tab that Wireless Security. On this page you will see the Security Mode. If your security mode is set to WEP you will have four sets of keys available. To known which key to use look for the Default Transmit (Tx) Key, If your default transmit key is set to 1, then you will use the key in Network key 1 to connect to the wireless network. Now if your Security mode is set to WPA (Personal/Pres-Shared Key/PSK) what's inside the WPA-shared key or Pass phrase / Personal Key box is the network key for your wireless network.

DONT KNOW THE NETWORK KEY AND CANT GET ON THE NETWORK

You can use a pass-phrase scanner which will find and display the network pass-phrase and key. Or if its a small network then you can reset the router to factory defaults and use the default password to re-setup the network.. Sometimes its easier to reset to factory defaults but you have to have all your ducks in a row. You need to know the WAN details and any printer specifics and open port details etc.

..and you will have to setup every machine on the network to use the new passphrase/key. ..ooorrrr get a network scanner to reveal the pass phrase/key

Cannot get wireless printer to connect dont know key

Hi,

The WEP/WPA key to your network is provided by your Network Service Provider, because they have installed the network and if u dont know that key, they will help you by providing the key.
We can manually derive the KEY by getting inside your Router Using Gateway IP address or by TELNETing the Router, that is very tedious any small mistake will bring the network down.SO thats the reason im asking you to contact the Network Service Provider.

Thanks

Riz
