I have a 2 in 1 VHS/DVD player. It is a GO VIDEO DV1130. When I press the eject button, nothing happens. The tray doesn't budge. I currently have a DVD in the machine as we speak. The DVD itself works perfectly. I can play, pause, FF/RW.....etc. The only thing it will not let me do is eject the DVD. The last time this incident happened, I tried a little trick, which ended up working perfectly. However, the same attempt didn't work this time around.

Sounds like you've got a problem with either the Drive Motor, Drive Controller or Drive Belt.

It could be an easy fix but it depends on the where the fault is.

Does it make any noise or effort to open the tray?

If yes then its the Drive Belt thats either slipping or broken.

If you remove the top cover and then the cover off the DVD you'll see the drive belt at the front. If it's still in one piece then you can just remove it and get one a few mm smaller.

Have unit hooked up, but cannot get the vhs casset tape e to remain in player, keeps ejecting.

Typically a VHS tape has a button on the underside that unlocks when pressed inside the VHS player. The wheels unlock and move the tape in the VHS. If this doesn’t happen, the tape will eject.

I have a sanyo dvd/vhs player and when you push the eject button to eject the dvd player it won't open. Help!

If you take off the top cover you might find that a drive belt that moves the tray is either off or broken. They are cheap to replace you just need to measure the diameter in MM and then enter "drive belt XXmm" into Google go for the nearest size to your measurement.

When I turn on my Sony DVP-SR200P DVD player and press the eject button it's turns the DVD player off.

turn on first the dvd player and wait to read a disc inside if no disc inside the tray it will say disc error. if the unit doesn't turn off, eject now the the cd tray. if get turn off, remove the cover then check for an stuck up gear or obstruction in the cd tray assembly. you can check also the power supply board which may have unusual parts like bulged or burnt component parts.

Dvd player will not open disc, display lock

Sound like it either has one or two problems, the door is stuck and or the door eject motor has failed. Look in the front to the player for a small paperclip like hole, and use a paper clip to manual eject the and engage the loading mechanism usually located under the door for most cases. Check you manuals troubleshooting section for manually ejecting a CD..

DV1130 hooked up to TV, DVD works great. VHS has

If you are using RCA cables (Red Yellow White) the video (yellow) could be bad or not in the connector all the way. When the VCR mode is selected try pulling the yellow connector out then back in and see if anything changes on the tv.

If you are using another type cable let me know and I will help you diagnose.

Hope this helps

I don't care if it does sound silly.. smack the unit smartly over the eject tray when you press the eject button.
