CEL flash means errors but the flash means WARNING CAT damage soon and if they get to hot they melt and engine power is lost or worse. vacuum test finds bad MELTED CATS, ASK.

the ASE rules are and in order are...
- bad engine (compression test fail, cats melted, EGR stuck open or cam lobes bad.(poor lift) chain cam not bad, Im sure its fine.
- bad spark ( or timed wrong) or HV wire sets bad, or coil packs wired wrong.
- bad fueling. fuel pressure wrong, idle or WOT.or both.
injectors clogged. the balance test and leak down test is down per SM..
old oil used for 20 years and HLA are wrecked, with gunk in the hydra lash adjusters? causing valves to leak bad and #1 cause in ASE list.
that bad idle is due to 1 or 2 things,
A: LEAN BURNING AND SURGING
b: IAC VALVE DEAD. (IDLE AIR CONTROLS) OR BOTH.
ALL THE ABOVE, PROBLEMS LEAN AND POWER LOST
MAY JUST BE A WEAK FUEL PUMP OR FPR.
psi SPEC PRESSURE IS. AT FUEL RAIL
OR OMG THE FUEL FILTER IS BAD AND OR FUEL WENT BAD AND CLOGGED THE FILTER AND ALL 10 MICRON SCREENS IN THE INJECTORS, THIS CAR WAS NOT A DAILY DRIVER AND BAD FUEL RINGS TRUE HERE. BIG TIME. BAD FUEL. PARKED.
THE FILTER YOU CHANGES, STOPS,40MICRON DIRT, AND LETS PAST IT , 39 TO 10 MICRO FILTH TO ALL INJECTORS.
SO RUN CHEVRON , INJECTOR CLEANER IN THE TANK
THIS BRAND IS THE ONLY ONE ONE WORTH SALT.
PARKED CARS THE TANK INSIDES ARE FULL OF RUST
i TAKE OLD FILTER (NOW LOST) AND CUT IT OPEN
FOR FINDING GUNK THERE AND OR RUST, AND NOW KNOW WHY INJECTORS ARE PACKED.

ECT MUST SCAN READ 180F OR MORE , NOT LOWER AND IVE NEVER SEEN ANY 20 YEAR OLD THERMOSTAT EVER WORK IN 50 YEARS. 2 TIMES DESIGN LIFE IN FACT. THAT.
