sol1) In service mode copier- function- clear- error. (Service mode can be accessed by pressing additional functions- 2-8-additional functions in quick succession).This should help

Hi, these is error code related to fixing heater temperature fault. Because you didnt state the model of copier ill gave you the procedure for most copiers of digital serie of Canon, these service mode procedure doesnt apply on iR 2016/2020/2018/2318/1600/2000....
press * press 2 press 8 press * select COPIER select FUNCTION select CLEAR select ERR OK
Turn off and on the copier.
If these doesnt clear your error you need nto change the fixing film assy ( heater ).
Simultaneously press and hold the 1,the Stop
and the Power Save buttons on the Control
Panel,if problem continues repeat the same
with 6,the Stop and the Power Save buttons 4,the Stop and the Power Save buttons 3,the Stop and the Power Save buttons
Definitely go with the 3300 (if you haven't already). It's one of the best B&W copiers Canon has ever produced. The 3300s still sold as refurbs by Canon in the US so parts will be around for them over there for quite a while yet.
