Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer ink cartridges not reconized

If it is not reading one particular cartridge please try the following as it has worked for us 90% of the time.

  1. Remove all ink cartridges
  2. use a pencil eraser on the chip of the unreadable cartridge.
  3. install the cartridge you just used eraser on.
  4. if printer accepts cartridge, turn off printer.
  5. turn on printer and install remaining inks
This should solve the unreadable problem.
This is fairly common problem, usually effecting compatible units.

I have a 926 series dell printer...changed color cartridge and my computer will not reconize it..still says I am out of ink.

Most likely the new cartridge is defective. Most cartridges contain chips and these are occasionally bad. See if the retailer will exchange it for you.

You can go to HP's site and find that you have a problem with one or more of your ink cartridges see:

It states: " Ink cartridge problem
Cause The indicated ink cartridge(s) are missing or are damaged.
Solution Replace the indicated ink cartridge(s) immediately so that you can resume printing.
If there are no ink cartridges missing from the HP All-in-One, the ink cartridge contacts might
need to be cleaned.
If there are no ink cartridges missing from the HP All-in-One, and you still receive this message
after cleaning the ink cartridge contacts, you might have a damaged ink cartridge. Contact HP

Printer won't reconize new black ink carteidge , prints good in color

Hi Good day!!! Try this method in re-inserting the ink. turn off your printer, open the cover, bring the print head to the center, remove the cartridge, now turn back on the printer without the cartridges, your printer will recognize that the inks is missing now insert the inks one at a time, and see if the error is still there.

Won't reconize new ink cartridge rx680 printer

hi friend,
Run the Head Cleaning utility to clear any clogged ink nozzles. To run the Head Cleaning Utility, follow the instructions below.

For Windows users:

1) Make sure that your printer is ON and the error light is off.

2) Access the printer software.

3) Click the Utility tab, then click the Head Cleaning button.

4) Follow the on-screen instructions

5) When the power light stops flashing, click Print nozzle check pattern in the Head Cleaning dialog box to confirm that the head is clean and to reset the cleaning cycle

If you find that any segments are missing from the nozzle check pattern, you may need to repeat the head cleaning and print the pattern again.

Or u could consult the user manual
u should let the ink settle for 12-24 hrs???
