I have a new Easy Share Camera. I set the date wrong. How can I reset it?

You'll just have to count the options carefully to get the right one. First press the MENU button, there will be two 'tabs' and you want the second one, you'll probably have to press "right" to get it. Now press "down" and count through these options:

• Date and Time
• LCD Brightness
• Share Button settings
• Red Eye reduction
• Orientation Sensor
• Camera Sounds
• Video Out
  
• Image Storage
• Language
• Reset Camera
• Format
• About

It might be easier to go to the bottom where About is, and go "up" by three...

If you get it right, when you press OK on the right one, you should see many languages including English IN ENGLISH. If you do, go ahead and select it and press OK. If you don't... back out and don't change anything!

Turn the Kodak's dial to "Capture" mode. This brings up the camera display. Press the "Program" button behind the dial.

Press the "Down" button until "Date Stamp" is highlighted. Press the "OK" or "Set" button to access the date-stamp menu.

Press the "Down" button to change the selection to "None." This removes the date stamp.

Press "OK" to save the setting. Press "Program" to return to capture mode.

hi, the problem why evrytime you turn on your camera you need to be set the date/time is the capacitor inside of the camera you need to do is replace with new one.it is easy if you now how to repair electronics or if you have knowldege. try to bring to service center and for sure they will charge a minimun charges.

What you have to do is go to the icon with the spanner (as shown above) and keep tabbing down. There are more options than just the ones you see in the screen (not just High Power , Auto, Set Tag, On), keep going down and it will show you the other options. You will see the date change icon about 7 or 8 down.

I cannot help you but I have another problem which I want to tell to the world.
My camera is OK but it does not work on Klik 8000 accu's.
I told Kodak about this problem but because the garanty is over, I have to pay the costs of reparation.
On the internet I read that this is a mistake of the 812 is.
I think that someting has gone wrong with this type.
Every time I change the battery I have to reset date and time, but further without problems.
Please ask Kodak torepair your new camera.

Does it do this when hooked up to the charger? It might be the battery.

go to menu and click each choice until you see a choice of language. English should be obvious ( I think). If that doesn't work, look in your manual for a way to restore it to factory settings. You might even just remove the batteries for about 15 minutes or so. When I replace my batteries I always have to reset my settings such as date. I hope this works
