Question about GE Monogram ZISS480DRSS Stainless Steel
Just suddenly stopped making ice. It's turned on, makes sounds but nothing.
One possible problem! Right below the automatic ice maker, there is a white plastic arm that should be fanned out around 30° horizontal. Use your finger to push in and release. If that arm spring out slowly (it must fan out fast with force) then this is it. The metal spring that hook to that arm is loose! This is a V shape spring that one end hook into the plastic arm (a "L" type snap in) easy to fall out. It happened to me the first time (within 2 years) so the tech changed for free. Within a year, it happened again. This time I open the automatic ice maker out and found that by accident. I snapped the spring back to the plastic arm, and there no problem since. Good luck

Ice maker first should supply water to ice tray. then the freezer will do it's freezing then heater and ejector will finnish the job.sounds may be that of the ejector trying to dump the ice.the heater may not be heating. you ould put a knife undre the tray and feel the blade if it's hot or not. please do not put your hands under tray while in operation.
