if it was someone else's phone they might have put a security code, so in order to change it again you must input the other code first, if its always been your phone you must have already set a security code, and you just don't remember it that's what happened to me... otherwise ask one of your phone's company tech.
firstly if you buy it new so your default security code is 12345 and to change it go to settings security settings change access codes change security code . type the default security code and type your new security code (twice)
Contact your cellular provider and ask for Tech Support. After providing your account password, you'll be given a security override code which you'll enter on the keypad of your phone. After doing so, you'll be able to change the phone's PIN.
We cannot provide security codes at FixYa as we have no way to verify the ownership of the phone. You'll have to go through your cellular provider.
You might have protected your phone with security code and the phone will ask the code to enter every time you want to unlock it after being locked. If you haven't set the code by yourself ask about it to your family members to know whether they have set it.
If your cell is brand new, the company itself must have assigned a default security code, which will be common to all phones of that manufacturer. You may get this code from your user manual and should enter that code.
Once you have entered the phone successfully, you can remove your security code settings from "security settings" options or anything similar under the "settings" tool.
if the password has not been changed it would be the extension followed by 997, i.e. password for mailbox 990 would be 990997 and 991 would be 991997, you can also log into mailbox 999 and assuming that password has not been changed and is 999997 you could go into admin mode and reset the mailbox security code for 990 or 991, hope that helps.
I can help you solve this dilemma, but I will need to know what type of Stratagy Voicemail you have to be 100% sure.
Here's a procedure that may work for ya, if it doesn't just let me know which VM you have and we'll get you setup.
Dial Voicemail (usually 100), when you hear the greeting press the * key. When it asks for your User ID, dial 999. When it asks for the security code, try 999 or 999997. Once logged in press 8 for system functions. After that, listen to the prompts and it should walk you the rest of the way through it.
