Make sure you are doing this for the right ip address. The ip address should be your local computer's ip address and will probably look like 192.168.1.x . To get to this go into your network control panel and click on your connection and view the details to get this information. Remember that every time your router resets this ip could change. I would suggest setting a static ip in either the router or on your computer in question. To set up a static IP for windows xp: http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm.
