I have a 2009 Caliber which lately has been excelarating improperly. A red light comes on the dash which looks like 2 lightening bolts. What does this mean?

Have the onboard computer checked and extract the code(s) that set the check engine light. There are a number of things that can cause your problem and the code(s) may help narrow it down. Possible items are the crankshaft sensor, the camshaft sensor, and the fuel pump, as well as the onboard computer itself.

there is tons of info if u google ur ? - including one I have seen with dodge vehicles - replace battery.

If you are under the car
look up on the back side of the block toward the drivers side near the transmission
it is held in place with 1 bolt (use a 10mm socket)
and 1 electrical connector
super easy to remove/reinstall once under the car

Have a repair shop check for codes every time
any light comes on your dash

Then you know if any systems have a fault & if you
should continue to use it prior to repairs

Throttle position sensor is not providing good data. Broken wire or TPS sensor or gas pedal interface out of whack. Take / tow to dealer.

You need to have the computer scanned. It sounds like you went into limp mode and need to find the source of the fault.

I have a 2009 Caliber. Lately as I excelarate, this light on the dash that has two lines and looks like lightening bolt comes on and causes the car to not excelarate as it should. The car drives
less than 2 miles an hour when this happens. Even if I push the paddle to the floor, it still rides
very slow. What does this light mean? Please advise.

That dash symbol I believe refers to the solenoid on the starter motor. If it is stuck- all you need to do is tap it fairly sharply with a plastic mallet or the end of a large screwdriver to get it to 'unstick'. If that does not work you need a new starter. I have used this trick many times on starters that get stuck.
