Power too the Sd-p1600 dvd player

The car power cord does not power the DVD unit. The red light is on. But it's not powering the player. The wall adapter powers and operated the unit but not the car cord

I plug in my DVD player and I get nothing, not even the power light comes on....

You have a power supply problem, if the cord is detachable from the player make sure it is snug tight, next pull the cover off and follow the cord to the power supply board to see if the fuse is blown, the other thing I come across is a bad capacitor near power transistor but this will require some technical know how. One final thought, check your unit on another wall receptacle.

Player will not start. it has power but the movie does not start. model number sd-p1600

This is not a TV problem? The sd-p1600 is a portable DVD player. Are you trying to connect it to your TV? Or is you Portable DVD Player not playing?

Unable to either use the remote or the buttons on the player to operate the player. The light is red, replaced battery, and still will not function. Isn't the light supposed to change to green?

The power board inside the DVD is burned/ damaged. You need to take it to the service center to replace the power unit.

If you know what to do, you can open the DVD case, then replace the power board. To locate it, simply follow the power cord, power cord attached to the power board.
Replace with same type of boards.

I need a power cord for a mintek poriable dvd player

You did not state the model number. Kind of hard to find the correct adapter without that knowledge. Also which cord do you need, the power cord for the car, or the wall in your house.
