Here are a few ideas for you to try... first off.. are you sure the dryer is properly leveled on the floor? ( meaning : the adjustable feet are making contact with the floor in all four points and the dryer itself is level front to back; side to side).. If that's ok.. try cycling the dryer without clothes in it to see if it still makes that noise.. If it does, your pulley system may need to be adjusted, if not ..then try cycling it with a smaller load of clothes than you normally do to see if it still makes more noise than expected. If it does.. you pulley or drum guide rollers ( if so equipped) may need to be adjusted... Hope that helps...

My white knight tumble dryer drum has stopped going round and the dryer is just making a loud humming noise, please can you advise?

Your belt probably broke or fell off the motor . The humming noise is the motor running without a belt on it

Dryer has started to be very loud.

Check ease of drum moving that it moved freely. Remove panels Is motor noisy? Check belt. Is movement of drum noisy? Make sure exhaust is not clogged. Can the air move freely to the outside. Make sure there are no kinks in exhaust line. Determine cause of noise then you have a few choices. Repair, lubricate replace parts or replace dryer. Sometime you just need to use it until it doesn't work anymore and then buy a new one depending on the cost of repairs vs. replacement.

Very loud squeaking noise - like a noisy loose fan belt on a car.

The dryer needs to be rebuilt, new drum belt and drum rollers to cure this problem.

Noise when button pushed to begin dryer.

is it a humming sound and the motor doesn't turn on or is it running and noisy?if it's just humming it's probably a bad motor, try to move the drum by hand,if it turns freely you have a bad motor,if it's running and noisy you could have a bad blower wheel behind the duct that the lint filter slides into or a bad pulley that the belt raps around, bad rollers, there's a few things it could be,you're gonna have to get in there and take a look or call someone in,if it's very old you might not want to put any money into it,next time send model number and a little more info, good luck

When we start our dryer it makes a loud noise as if it struggles to get the drum moving. Once the dryer is moving it has no trouble moving, but every time we start it, the noise happens again even if i was...

Is this noise like a loud buzz or hum? If it is it may be the motor draging
and can't quite get going. bearing getting worn.
Also check drum rollers or glides and the idler pully one of them may
be dragging if they are you might put a little high temp oil on it.
Hope this helps..

Motor is noisy (loud buzzing). Drum belt seized.

the problem, is with a component, called a capacitor.a capacitor gives a"jump start"to the motor.when this charge or jump start cannot be given, the motor will "hum" or"buzz".a new capacitor should not too expensive.

Loud humming noise and barrell not moving

sounds like you either have a bearing locking up on the drum itself or your motor is going bad on you and locking.

Noisy dryer

i had same problem with washing machine. i found out it was the stone inside which holds it down while it spins. The screws or nuts or what ever is holding the stone could be loose.

Or it could be the nuts or screws of the actual drum that spins that got loose when you moved the machine
