I have the same problem but the screen will work as long as I keep the slider open which is not very practical, as soon as I slide it closed the screen goes black and I have to turn it off and on again :( Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

you need to install the samsung pc suite software on the phone to the pc using you usb cable or you can bluetooth it to the pc if you have a bluetooth adapter for the pc

This works for my D900 to get to the memory card however, I cannot access my other folders, only the memory card.

In your phone, go to

Settings -> Phone Settings -> USB settings -> And then select 'Mass storage device'

Now the phone memory card should appear as a USB flash drive in the 'My computer' window.

You can use this to access your data on the memory card.

Please get back to me if this doesn't work.

I'm afraid you can't. You can go to settings then light settings to adjust the amount of time you can see the screen when the phone is slid up but not when it's slid down. I guess it's a battery saving precaution... Louise
