How i can enble function key

HP laptops have the ability to lock the blue special function keys on, making numerical data entry easier on laptop models that do not have the room for dedicated numerical keypads. Because the key combination to lock the function keys is so simple, however, it is easy for those who wouldn't normally use this ability to do so accidentally. When the function keys are locked, pressing certain keys will result in numbers being typed rather than letters. Unlock the function keys to alleviate this issue.

Press the "Fn" and "Num Lk" keys on the keyboard simultaneously. The "Number Lock" indicator light should turn off, indicating that the letter keys will once again type letters when pressed. This combination should work on the majority of recent HP laptops. If it does not, try one of the alternate key combinations in this article's remaining steps. Press the "Fn" and "F11" keys simultaneously, then attempt to type a letter. If the combination does not work, continue to the next step. Press the "Fn" and "Scroll Lock" keys simultaneously, then attempt to type a letter. Continue to the next step if this does not work. Press the "Fn," "Scroll Lock" and "F11" keys simultaneously.

To use multi functioned keys, you may use following combinations
1. Normal press, just present the the big function written on screen 2. Shift+Key, gives the second function of the key 3. Num Lock on, Gives the numbers written on the key like J gives 1 and so on 4. Fn+Key with Fn color function written on the F1 to F12 keys

My wifi is

Use the "Fn" key in combination with one of the F Function keys(example - F1 F2-F3 etc.) above the set of numeric keys. It will be a dual symbol key, meaning it will have wireless icon printed on it or the word "WiFi" in addition to the F number. It is usually one of the first 3 or 4 F keys. Remember, the "Fn" key must be pushed at the same time. It is a key combination like using <shift> and a regular alpha key to put a letter in CAPS.
Hope this helps Fixa! I am online if you need further help.

Press the Fn key. While keeping it pressed, press F2 key. This combination of keys will turn on the wireless. You can use the same key combination to switch off the wireless also. When the wireless is turned on the wifi light glows to indicate it is on.

Where is the switch or function key combination to turn on wireless connection?

It's difficult to tell, but there seems to be a small switch on the front, that may activate the wireless connection. If that isn't it, you can usually access the modems through control panel, under 'network and internet,' and the wireless assistant, or possibly the network and sharing center; if the wireless modem is disabled, right clicking on the icon will usually give you an option to activate it, or you can connect to a network through the network and sharing center, as well as detecting networks, and that will tell you whether or not the thing is working.

Keyboard `problem `strange `dash `appearing

Many programs extend the usefulness of the function keys by using key combinations. The most common combinations are Shift + a function key, Alt + a function key, and Crtl + a function key. These combinations can be very useful. For instance, in Microsoft Word, when any text is highlighted, pressing the Shift key plus the F3 key will change the case of the text from all caps, initial caps, to all lowercase. Shift + F7 will choose the Thesaurus command. These shortcuts allow you to access such functions with one keystroke rather than three or four mouse clicks.
