Question about Cisco 1811 Router

I have a cisco 1811 router and the firewall has been turned off. I was asked to turn it on and so i used the SDM to turn on the firewall. It was blocking a lot so I ran the SDM again and set the firewall level to low and it is still blocking some necessary traffic. I want to turn off the firewall again but do not see a way to do this through the SDM. how to turn off the firewall component of a Cisco 1811 router.

After too much down time, I contacted Cisco and paid for support. They walked me through resetting the router and getting it back. Not a great resolution for those of you who are looking for a do it yourself solution.

SOURCE: port forwarding not working on cisco 1811 router?

Most of the CISCO 1800 series have some ACL's configured by default.

You may want to run a show run from the CLI to make sure that there isn't one interfering.

Also from the CLI, see if you can debug port forwarding. I can't remember the command off the top of my head but I will look it up and post it for you.
