Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Cannot find Plantronics Explorer 230 Bluetooth Headset Why? Before was paired with Dell Streak and it worked perfectly.

On the Home screen, drag the up arrow, find and click on your settings for wireless controls. Check the Bluetooth in the status bar settings. Find the Discoverable box and mark it. Your phone should be available for 120 seconds. Please make sure that your bluetooth is in pairing mode, flashing blue red. This should take care if the problem.

My explorer isnt doing anything.. the led is solid blue and has been for hours.. it seems to be on, but not functioning. my evo wont even pick it up on its bluetooth search

The headset must be put into pairing mode. Once you make your phone discoverable, then put the Plantronics 230 headset into pairing mode by pressing the call control button until it flashes red and blue. powercycle both phone and headset.
turn on phone only.
turn on its bluetooth!
no turn on headset
on phone, search for headset
it should see it
now pair... type like 0000
it should pair... if not, then the headset needs a special code... see its manual for the pairing code
