Unplug the power brick from the wall and the console.
Wait about ten minutes to half an hour.
Reconnect power brick to wall and console.
If nothing helps, you will need to setup a repair process through Nintendo Try calling Nintendo's support hotline, toll free:
1-800-255-3700

Or using their online support:
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/

Online support may not have the answer to what you need, in which case it will lead you to a webform E-Mail service to get personal help. They will be able to tell how old your Wii is through the serial number, and then the repair it for free since it is less than 1 year old.

Wii doesn't work after a month

It is best if you return it for a warranty repair or replacement in this case as any attempt to repair or open this unit will void your warranty.

It should be under a 1-3 year warranty for your type of product so you should be safe returning this item unless it was purchased second hand.
tip

Everything is plugged in but your Wii won't turn on

Okay so you have everything plugged in, but all of a sudden your Wii won't turn on, right? Maybe there was a power outage or your circuit breaker was flipped, or maybe nothing happened, but the fact remains that it won't work and you don't know why.

There is a decent chance that your Wii's power cable needs to be reset.

To reset the power cable you need to:
1) Unplug the power cable from the Wii and the wall.
2) Let it sit and rest for 10-15 minutes.
3) Plug everything back in.
4) Turn on your Wii.
It should work at this point if that is the problem.

It may sound silly but Nintendo built in the reset mechanism due to power cable failures and it often is the resolution to a Wii not turning on.

Good luck!

The wii wont turn on

Try plugging the Wii into a known working outlet.

If that doesn't fix the problem, then try another known working AC Adapter if you can.

If you do these two steps and the wii doesn't turn on then the main board is bad and if your Wii is under warranty then contact Nintendo to have it repaired otherwise replace the system.

The Wii console is not powering up at all.

Hi there, this is a power board failure. It seems to be a manufacturing error considering the fact that, this Wii is only 2 months old. i would excercise the warranty if possible and return for exchange. this is a defective unit.
