Panasonic KX-T7436 - time/clock

Hello there, I work for a hotel that has a Panasonic KX-T7436 in the Reception which has extensions to the rooms.
The time is not set correctly and I can't find a way to change it!
Could anyone help with that?
Thank you, appreciate your response.
Kind regards,

Mike, just another thing, as you guys respond so promptly and efficiently :c))

When guests call us and we are already on the phone with somebody else, they can hear a message recorded by us. But when we put them on hold, they dont listen to any music or message, just goes mute... the same thing happens when we transfer a call to a room...

How can I configurate the phone so guests can hear the message or a music?

    Thank you for ur help!

    Kind regards,

    Juliana

    Thank you again, Mike!

I understand, I just thought we could use the voicemessage (the one the guests hear while the phone is busy) for the same purpose as when it's on hold or to be transfered...

I dont know if you would be able to locate a vendor, because it's in Australia - Sydney...

Anyway, you were very helpful, thank you so much!

    Best regards,

    Juliana

Hi Juliana, to set the time and date you leave the handset on-hook, Press program * * and the user password ( default 1 2 3 4 ), display shows USR - PGM NO?, dial 0 0 0, press next, enter 2 digit year ( to change current entry press clear ), press arrow pointing to the right, press select until month is displayed, enter month, press right arrow, enter day, press right arrow, press select until day of week is displayed, press store, press next, enter hour, press arrow, enter minutes, press arrow, press select for am or pm, press arrow, press select for 12 or 24 hour format, press store, press end. Let me know how it goes. ...Mike

Hi Juliana, The message the people hear when you are on the phone comes from your phone being set to Call Forward Busy - No Answer to Voicemail. The message is the greeting in the Voicemail system. If you want music to be played to the caller when transfered or placed on hold you will have to have a vendor come out and install it on your system. Since this will be a physical connection, it is not something I can walk you through. If you do not have a vendor for your system let me know the city and state and I can try to locate one for you. Thanks, ...Mike

    Hi Juliana,

You're right, I probably can not find you a dealer. I hear the weather is great " Downunder " and someday hope to travel there. Thanks again for the FixYa and let me know if I can help in the future. Good Day Mate !!!!! ...Mike

I have a Panasonic KX-T7436 desk phone. When reception sends a call to my phone in my office the voicemail will not pick up.

This phone doesn't have voicemail! You need to speak to your IT guy, it is a system feature to the PBX unit, not the phones themselves. Here is your manual. You can set an Absent Message - Page 30.

I need to know how to change the extensions on the phones. Everyone in my office has moved rooms and we keep dialing their old extensions and since they are in a different room now, it goes to the old...

You can move them mechanically or electronically. If you have access to manager's programming, the extensions can be changed in system program 003 and 004, but it will screw up the mechanical order of the phones. An extra hint, the open extensions you can use for temporary numbers are 100,200,169 to maybe 182 and 269 to maybe 282. The concept is if you want to change 103 to 105 you make change 103 to 100 105 to 103 and then 100 to 105. Keep close track of who belongs to what because you're going to need it later. In hardware, the installer would just run new jumpers at the frame and he wouldn't have to change names in 004 like you're going to have to.

How do i make a light light up on a phone

Each button is assigned by programming. It also has to have a light to light up :-)

If you're programming an extension, then press PROGRAM 99 the button and dial 1 plus the extension number. If a line, dial 0 plus the line number. All programs are ended with STORE.

Works for me.
