i not only reset the printer, uninstalled, turned everything off and disconnected before reinstalling. it still did not work. i'll just buy cartridge and keep it full.

    thanks anyway

There is a way to reset F4280..... when u check out the printer control panel....it must say OFF LINE...right? despite of all connection has been set.
When you refill HP60, you need to be very carful with ink amount as well, sometimes, if you put the ink more than what it supposed to be, u won't get any print out.
How much ink did you put in....
Let me know through my email.... [email protected].... maybe I can help you.

Black ink not printing

Hi Dario Radic,

Sounds like you have a defective refilled cartridge.

Have you tied replacing the cartridge with another one?

HP LJ 5500dn printer-replaced black toner crtrdg,w/OEM tnr crtrdge, recvd control error mssge 'clean fuser input',which we did according to online HP instructions, & another 'youtube'...

Hi Donna

It sounds like the machine still wants a new black toner, normally this message clean fuser input" clears whent he machine reconises a new Original non refilled cartridge being fitted, so it sounds like you have either a faulty cart or a non gen HP cart fitted like a aftermarket or refill. People often get confused that a cart they are using is OEM when in fact it is a OEM empty that has just been refilled or it isnt HP at all usally marked as "for use in HP" so please ensure we are in fact fitting real toners, if you fitted a HP one you would have to tear open the box it comes in.

If it was call I would unplug it from your pc, power it off then on, remove all your cartridges and ensure they are original HP, I'd remove the fuser and clean the discharge lamp area see HERE.
Id replace any consumable that look suss or was leaking. I test via the control panel ie menu/ information/ print supplies status. Can you get a status page out or does the error stop you?

If it still failed the first thing to do would be to replace black toner cart with another as I think your is faulty. If it is real HP then is a gaurantied item so take it back for replacement.

If a tec was their just 3 days ago it too should be covered, most companies like mine allow recall warranty on repair work on same fault if it occurs within 30 days or original call.

Here your user manual and a pic below of what it wants cleaned but mind you normally a new toner clears the message regardless, please note this error wasnt included in original machine realease it was a firmware update that added it so it may not be listed in early prints of manuals for your machine.

Let me know how you go the more info the better

Cheers

Steve

Problem with hp deskjet 640c printer

i have an hp and find that they (color carts) cannot be refilled- the clever b*st*rds!! they stepped the ink reservoirs so, if you don't insert the re-fill needle 'just right', it bleeds into the others and you end up with a 'muddy' print-out! you need to buy a new hp cart, or shop around for a generic cart (cheaper) google your product & cart #. you may find a source for a cheaper cart.
the black carts. can be re-filled!
good luck!

How to reset the ink level for a HP 60 ink cartridge? I have just refilled a HP 60 black ink cartridge but can not find anything on how to reset the ink level. I would do the "3 ink cartridge" trick but I...

You cannot reset the ink level indicator for the HP 60 ink cartridge. It shouldn't matter anyway because the level is only estimated for "management purposes only" (see user manual) meaning to let you know when it's near time to order a new cartidge. I have tried cycling through 3 different cartridges to reset the ink level for the one I refilled but it didn't work. Refill and just ignore the ink level indicator. Also, it's a good idea to clean the print heads with the solvent in the refill kit before refilling to remove old ink and imrpove print quality.

Hp deskjet 3820 - have refilled the cartridge and pc wont print

Clean the contacts on the carriage with piece of cotton and then clean the contacts on the cartridge with rubber and try again. If this not help replace the cartridge.

Color prints too dark

1. Took out the color ink cart and clean the copper contacts of the ink cart with cotton swab, make sure that you do not touch the silver nozzle .
2. Try new ink color ink carts as someime this issue came up when the ink carts are about to finish up.
3. Replace the ink carts and do not us a refill ink.

HP 20 ink refill problem

Did you try a new ink cart? Most print problems with inkjet machines are refilled carts.
