One foot is exactly 0.3048 meters, so 8000 square feet is 8000*.3048^2 square meters.

Pressing 8 0 0 0 * . 3 0 4 8 ^ 2 ENTER will give you about 743.

Measurement of an acre against hectar

Hectare is a metric surface area measure of 100 metres by 100 metres.

An acre is defined as "the area of 1 chain by 1 furlong (66 by 660 feet), which is exactly equal to 1?640 of a square mile, 43,560 square feet, approximately 4,047 m2, or about 40% of a hectare." wikipedia.org

To convert acres to hectares, multiply the acres by 2.4711.

Good luck,

What is the cubic yard of a circle that is 10.82feet diameter x 16inches deep?

cubic capacity is pye X radius squared X depth
that is 3.1416 X 5.33 squared by 1 .3 ft
that is 3.1416 X 28.408 X 1.3
that is 118.69 cubic ft
1 cubic ft = .0370 cubic yards
multiply 118.69 cubic ft =4.39c yards or you can convert the feet to yards first and then apply the formula
so that is 3.1416 X 1.77 squared =
3.1416 X 3.13= 9.83 sq yards X .43 yards =4.22 cubic yards
the difference is from how many decimal points you go to

I need to convert 22 feet long x 22 feet wide x 7 ft high to square feet and then to cubic meters

You can't convert a volume to an area. For example. if everything is stacked 7 feet high then the area would be 484 square feet. If stacked 14 feet high the the area would be 242 square feet.

In SI, about 95.94 cubic meters.

How to convert inches and feet to square feet and square inches

There are several ways to do this.
We can choose either inches or feet as our base.
Let's do the case in inches.
Let's say the measurements are 5'2" by 2'4".
Step 1 - Convert everything into inches, so multiply the feet by 12 and add the inches. 5'2" becomes 5x12+2 = 62". Similarly, with 2'4" 2x12+4 = 28".
Step 2 - Calculate the area in square inches. 62" x 28" = 1736 square inches.
Step 3 - Convert square inches into square feet by dividing the number of square inches by 144 (12" x 12"). I get 12.06 square feet.

Let do the case in feet using the same measurements.
Step 1 - convert everything into feet. Since there are 12" in a foot, divide the inches by 12 and add to the feet. 5'2" becomes 5 + 2/12 = 5.16'. Similarly, 2'4" becomes 2 + 4/12 = 2.33'.
Step 2 - calculate the area in square feet. 5.16' x 2.33' = 12.02 square feet.
Step 3 - Convert the square feet to square inches by multiplying the answer in square feet by the number of square inches in a square foot (144). Imagine a square 12" by 12". 12.02 square feet x 144 = 1730 square inches.

Note that I have rounded my answers, thus, they are not equal. To avoid this, keep the answer in your calculator and round only at the end.

Any questions, let me know.

Good luck.

How much volume in gallons does three quarter inch copper pipe if it is ten f9ot long.

Hi Wayne:
For my curious mind, what is the project that you need this for?

To solve the problem, the volume of the pipe is the cross sectional area times the length.
Area = pi r squared.
= 22/7 times .75 / 2 squared
= 3.1428571 times .375 times .375
= o.4419642 square inches

The pipe is 10 feet long, times 12 equals 120 inches long.
The pipe volume is 120 times 0.4419642 equals 53.035704 cubic inches.

The next part of the question is to convert cubic inches to gallons.
I use my Texas Instruments TI-1889
53.035704 to metric, in cubed to cm cubed = 869.09608
Divide by 1,000 equals .86909608 litres
From Metric, imp gal (I'm in Canada) to L = 0.1911781
