I just purchased a black and decker corded hand vac/blower/inflator. I plugged it in (for the first time ever) it started and then shut off immediately. I tried different outlets thinking it blew a circuit in the first one. However it still won't start. Very frustrating!

If you can dismantle it you will either discover a number of separate cells glued and soldered to a circuit board or a battery pack connected by wires.

Both ebay and Amazon are likely to be able to provide a replacement for either much cheaper than replacing the vac, though in the case of a battery pack it might be necessary to make a minor modification to the wire/plug.

return it for one that works as designed.

Hello Karen, It sounds as though may have a bad battery or the charger is shutting down before the battery gets fully charged.

Sounds like it could be a bad battery pack that's not accepting a charge.

why would you have to go to Mexico? why cant you go online?

I'm not sure what bag your referring to. The only bag for this is the carrying bag. So I have to assume you mean one of the filters.
There are three filters for this vacuum.

• Primary Filter.
• Exhaust Filter.
• Secondary Filter Element.

I have included a link to a site that carries the replacement parts and a diagram of the vacuum.

On another note If it doesn't help I really don't feel to bad because I'm in Detroit Michigan. And I'd rather have a dozen useless vacuums hanging out in New Zealand any day. :)
