You probably will get the best result if you use a digital to analog audio converter. Amazon has a number of models: https://www.amazon.com/DA-Converters/b?ie=UTF8&node=3224445011 . You will need to provide the optical audio cable. You connect the TV's optical audio out to the converter's input. Then use the converter's RCA output to the home theater system's audio input.

The TVs HDMI port is only an HDMI input (possibly with Audio Return Channel). This isn't usually resolved by an HDMI-RCA Converter. This converter might have worked to split off the audio signal from a Blu-ray player with an HDMI cable to the converter and then another HDMI cable to the TV and the RCA audio going to the Home Theater system.

sir DVI is only support for video you can get video through DVI not sound if your tv have no hdmi port then please purchase adapter which is called HDMI to av converter

When you convert from HDMI to DVI you only convert the video signal so you wont get any sound. To get the sound you will need a device that extracts the sound from the HDMI signal. These are readily available. However as you need the Chromecast to plug into the DVI converter and the sound extractor, you will also need an HDMI device that converts a single HDMI input the two HDMI outputs, or a sound extracting device that has an HDMI pass through. Ether way this is going to be a bit expensive compared to the original cost of the Chromecast. It might just be cheaper to buy a TV that has an HMDI input.

For hdmi audio transfer, ur TV should have to hdmi arc enable option,
Or check with TV optical option,

If no more optical and hdmi arc option in ur TV, then no more options
U have to connect analogue only..

u can buy USB to HDMI converter cable...just check the manual for ur TV if it supports it also can try AV to HDMI converter cable

Firstly u may want to check ur laptop is set to 'sound out' and then check ur tv has been set to receive audio streams from ur laptop.

Make sure your tv is set to accept sound from the HDMI plug and not from a analog connection. Also check your sound properties by rightclicking the speaker in the tasktray and making sure the HDMI audio is not muted.

Try going into Control panel and to Sound an ensure you have your playback device set to digital output.Left click sound icon & change the default sound to hdmi output

u can make connections only through digital inputs(optical and coaxial). u can connect the digital outputs of ur dvd and cable set top box to the receiver. no way to connect HDMI. HDMI is a high definition media interface. for using it u have to go for a av receiver that supports HDMI.

is ur tv is a full HD one. because the ps3's HDMI out is a full HD 1080p video. did u get the video on HDMI 2. if it is there, then check the connection u made to HDMI 1. if u didn't get video on both then u should down scale the video setting of ur ps3 to 1080i( if ur tv is not a full hd one). also check through component video input.

hi buddy u have to change ur sound setting from the Control panel.
ie by default the Sound is played through ur default sound card.but if ur using ur HDMI connection then u have to chage it frm control panel

Steps:Control panel>Sound N Audio Device>Click on the Audio TAB(the Third on frm the top_)>there u will find an option Sound played back and u will have Drop down option once u have connected the HDMI.afer u have selected the option click on apply>ok.then U will definatly get Sound frm ur TV.

try to hold the power button for like 6 seconds until u hear a beep...
it will reset the display and adjust it to ur monitor...
