How do you remove paper stuck in the back of a P3015 printer?

If the paper is jammed in the fuser, sometimes the only safe way is to remove the back door to gain better access. Open the back door, on the right side you will see a white arm that attaches to the door and disappears into the printer. Pop it off the shaft if is clicked to. Then remove two screws from the back door. Lift the lower panel that covers the paper drawer and pry on each side of the lower back door. Once those catches release, pull the back door off by pulling the bottom of the panel towards you and the top will pop out. When reinstalling the door, make sure to reattach the white arm to the door before closing the door. Failure to do that can result in that arm getting broken,.

Paper feed not working. green button and orange

I assume you mean that the power and resume lights are blinking. This signals a carriage stall. Open the top cover, if the cartridge cradle moves to the right, it isn't stuck and may be a one-time issue. If it is stuck, unplug the power to the printer. Open the access door and observe the carriage position. Clean any lint or paper pieces out. Remove any obstructions. Move the cradle and continue checking for lint, paper and obstructions until the entire area is cleaned out. If the print carriage started out on the left side, return it to that position to make sure the cartridges are back in the capping station. Look inside the printer along the cartridge cradle path for obstructions and remove any. Remove the rear access door and check for paper pieces, remove any obstructions.

Plug in and turn on the printer and see if the carriage returns to the left and reseats itself in the capping station. Close up the printer.

If this doesn't work, the printer may need service.

I hope this helps.

Carriage Jam

Step one: Print a self-test report Follow the steps below:
  1. Press the Power button to turn on the product.
  2. Press Setup on the product control panel.
  3. Press the right arrow button until Print Report displays on the control panel display, and then press OK . The self-test report prints.
  4. Analyze the results:
    • If the product prints a self-test report, there is no need to follow the remaining steps, because the error message might be false. Try to print something from the computer.
    • If the product does not print a self-test report, proceed to the next step.
Step two: Clear the paper path Follow the steps below to clear the product of any jammed paper.
  1. Make sure the product is on, and then disconnect the power cord and the USB or Ethernet cable from the back of the product. Do not reconnect them until instructed to later. NOTE: Make sure the product is on before disconnecting the power cord. Failure to disconnect the power cord from the product can cause damage when removing jammed paper.
  2. Open the top access door by lifting from the front center of the product until the door locks into place. Figure 1: Opening the top access door c00786115.gif
  3. Note where the carriage is stuck and look for jammed paper. NOTE: The carriage is the device that contains the printhead and moves left to right during printing. A paper jam can cause the error message and the carriage stall. Paper might be jammed in different locations and might cause the carriage to be stuck in the middle of the product or on the right or left side.
  4. Remove any jammed paper. NOTE: Do not use any tools or other devices to remove jammed paper. Always use caution when removing jammed paper from inside the product. Follow these instructions if the carriage is stuck on the right side or the left side of the product:
    1. Check for and remove any paper or object that might be restricting the carriage.
    2. Manually move the carriage to the opposite side of the product.
    3. Check the paper path all the way to the side on which the carriage was initially stuck. Remove any paper along the path.
Follow these instructions if the carriage is stuck in the middle of the product:
    1. Check for and remove any paper or object that might be restricting the carriage.
    2. Manually move the carriage all the way to the left side of the product.
    3. Check the paper path all the way to the right side and remove any paper along the path.
    4. Manually move the carriage all the way to the right side of the product.
    5. Check the paper path all the way to the left side and remove any paper along the path.
  5. Remove the rear access door or duplexer (if installed) from the back of the product. To remove, press in the tabs on the left and right side, and pull it away from the product.
  6. Check for and remove any paper still in the product.
  7. Replace the rear access door or duplexer, and then close the top access door.
  8. Reconnect only the power cord (do not connect the USB or Ethernet cables at this time). If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button. NOTE: The product might go through a warm-up period of up to two minutes. Lights might flash and the carriage might move. Wait until the warm-up period is complete before going to the next step.
  9. Check the power light.
    • If the power light is on, reconnect the USB or Ethernet cable to the product, and then print a self-test report as done in Step one.
    • If the power light is blinking or not on and the carriage is still stuck, reconnect the USB or Ethernet cable to the product, and then proceed to Step three.
Step three: Plug the All-in-One directly into a wall outlet Use these steps to make sure the product is properly connected to a suitable power source.
  1. Make sure the computer and the product have a three-prong power plug.
  2. Remove the product power cord from any power strips or surge suppressors, and then plug it directly into a grounded wall outlet.
  3. Try the print job again to see if this step resolved the issue. NOTE: If the product prints when plugged directly into a wall outlet while disconnected from any power strips or surge suppressors, the power strip or surge suppressor might not be allowing sufficient voltage to reach the product. If this did not resolve the issue, proceed to the next step.
Step four: Service the All-in-One If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.
