I have a Sharp R820 microwave convection oven in my RV. It's rated at 13 amps when both microwave and convection are in use. I want to run an 8ft. grounded power cord to a 15" lcd tv that's pulling 40 watts at 120 volts. The microwave is on a 15 amp circuit. Should I be ok with both the microwave/convection oven and tv plugged into the same 120 outlet?

Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave Oven just went out, wont come on at all.

Hello Terrell,

If "wont come on at all" means no light when door is open, no clock, nothing, then assume complete loss of power to that circuit.
These are often powered by an isolated circuit with its own breaker. The first place to look is your power distribution panel and see if you can find a tripped breaker.
If yes, then reset the breaker and see if the microwave has lights, clock, etc.
If no breakers are tripped, the actual microwave plug is often in a cabinet above the microwave. Sometimes, these may get pulled out while moving items in and out of the cabinet, so check that too.
If unsuccessful, microwaves also include an internal line and/or thermal fuse which fail due to overloading. Also, the control panel can go bad or become unplugged from slamming the door, etc.
If you do have lights, clock etc., then a faulty door latch will prevent operation of the microwave generator.

Unfortunately, will need additional information to properly identify the potential.
I hope this helps.

EW30MO55HS Electrolux 30"microwave doesn't turn or heat

Good Morning Jody, thank you for your post!

If your Electrolux microwave (EW30M055HS) has power but does not heat, often the possibilities include one of four culprits:

·Power Supply
    ·Plugged into GFI Outlet
    ·Faulty Control Panel
    ·Faulty Magnetron

I always recommend resetting your microwave first. You can do so by unplugging your appliance or flipping the circuit breaker for about 30 seconds and then turn your microwave back on. If your microwave stills does not heat or turn, I would recommend reaching out to a professional or alternatively, visit the manufacturer website for a comprehensive listing of appliance techs in your area.

GE Spacemaker Microwave JVM1441 BH04 tripping circuit breaker

your power transformer for the magnetron could have a shorted primary power winding, the door safety interlock switch could be mis-adjusted,this normally blows the internal unit fuse,a shorted high voltage capacitor,or diode,a bare wire inside the unit, more than the microwave on that circuit or a weak circuit breaker in the house power panel

Hotpoint 1 and one-half yrs old stopped working

Ck and make sure the circuit breaker on the power panel on the house hasn't tripped.. If your microwave is within 6' of the kitchen sink, ck for a tripped GFCI controlling the power the microwave is plugged into. Good Luck, Ned

Chek the high voltage capacitor and the diode . If one of them are short there is a chance for tripping the breaker

Microwave causes all appliances to shut off

A surge protector will not help. The circuit that you have the microwave plugged too is overloaded or the breaker is weak.
You need to find out which breakers in your switch box operate which outlets. Then you may be able to move some of the appliances to different recepticles that are on different circuits.

Turn the lights on in all the rooms.
Got to your switch box and turn off one of the single switches(not the ones that are two switches hooked together).
Then go to each room and check to see which lights have went out. Take a lamp or small appliance to each wall plug-in and see if it has power.
When you find out everything that switch controls, write it on a piece of paper so you will know in the future what that circuit has on it.
Turn that switch back on and repeat the process with the next switch and so on and so forth until you have written down what each breaker controls.
Now you will have some idea which circuits have the most load and which ones you can move something to.
You also need to call your landlord or building super to check to make sure the breakers in the switch box are in good condition.
Hope this helps.
